HIGH SEAS, WIND EASING  2000

High Seas, Wind Easing is a meditation on fertility set in a world of oceans and seafarers. Longstreth animates a hoop skirt as her partner transforming it from boat, to womb, to cage. Music by Maria Doyle Kennedy with Kieran Kennedy and Liam O’Maonlai, Sherrilyne Blakely-Smith, and Huh Sarath with Marc Marder, costume by Katherine Longstreth and Morgan Puett. Performed by Katherine Longstreth.
